3rd Annual “Winter Walk” in Millburn’s Taylor Park

Please join the Millburn-Short Hills Chamber of Commerce as it presents the 3rd Annual “Winter Walk” in Taylor Park. The official lighting ceremony will kick off the holiday season on Shop Small Saturday taking place on November 30th at 3:00pm starting with a Park Parade comprised of Millburn organizations, scouts, students, and more. Chris Drucker, resident and volunteer said “I volunteer to help organize this event because there’s nothing like seeing the excitement and smiling faces on both adults and kids marching in the parade and especially when the Grinch leads the crowd in a countdown for the lights to go on! It’s a wonderful time for our Township”!

The kick off to “Winter Walk” coincides with “Shop Small Saturday,” an initiative to bring customers to local retail shops in town.  Karen Bigos added “Towne Realty Group is proud to support “Winter Walk” through our Millburn-SH Chamber of Commerce. It gives me a great sense of satisfaction that we bring thousands of visitors to town, with 60 days of festive, winter-season fun. I have been sledding, playing tennis, ice skating, & enjoying this beautiful 13-acre park since my nursery school days in the 1960’s. I hope this tradition will continue throughout my lifetime.”

Taylor Park will rock with live music and complimentary giveaways from local merchants and sponsors. Joanna Parker Lentz organized the live entertainment and shared “I am proud to be a part of the Winter Walk extravaganza again and curating the music for the event.  I love having our local talent from the community performing in Taylor Park and bring the town together to enjoy live music by Stephanie Eller, two of Millburn High School’s clubs; Soulfege and The Jam Club, as well as a new to town Music establishment, Natalie’s School of Music whose vocalists will grace the stage.”

Take time to stroll through the park and take fun, festive photos. Jaimee Hawkins, Millburn Township Senior Citizen Coordinator shared “Last year after eating dinner in town with my longtime friends, Peggy and Rosemarie, we went for a stroll around Taylor Park to admire the beautiful decorations.  We were having fun and being silly while posing for photos in front of the different décor. Today, those photos are priceless to me as we lost our dear friend, Peggy earlier this year.  This year we will stroll through Taylor Park to admire the Winter Walk while remembering our friend.”
