MILLBURN, NJ - Here's a bit of Millburn history, a report card from 1944. Our Country was in the midst of World War II and the school was supporting the effort by buying war bonds.
Millburn resident Marvin Silbersher was an 18 year old Airman with the USAF 447th Bomber Group fighting in Europe (he later was awarded the Chevalier of the Legion of Honor from France).
Joseph P. Day died this year. He was a real estate broker and a pioneering auctioneer in NYC. He had two homes, one of which was in Short Hills, NJ. It is now called Greenwood Gardens and remains open today to the public by a subsequent owner.
