NEWARK, NJ - Acting Essex County Prosecutor Theodore N. Stephens, II and Newark Public Safety Director Anthony F. Ambrose, III have announced that authorities are investigating the fatal shooting of a man in Newark last night. At approximately 10:35 p.m., Newark police officers were dispatched to the 100 block of Hobson Street on reports of shots fired. Arriving officers observed an unresponsive male suffering from apparent gunshot wounds. The male, who has been identified as Tylier R. Moore, age 29, of Newark, was pronounced dead at the scene, according to Chief Assistant Prosecutor Thomas S. Fennelly, of the Prosecutor's Homicide Unit.
