WESTFIELD, NJ - The Millburn 12U baseball team defeated Scotch Plains-Fanwood, 10-0, in the first round of the Cal Ripken District 12 Tournament last weekend.

Jack Meyerowitz of Millburn pitched a one-hitter while Millburn collected 11 base hits. Millburn scored two runs in the first inning and then four more in the second.

Isaiah Shoyombo drove in two runs with a single and a double, Matt Weiner doubled in two runs, Brett Molka doubled in a run and Tyler Neary hit two doubles and scored two runs. Liam Grigorian singled twice and knocked in two runs. David Mischel doubled and scored two runs.

Millburn then defeated Westfield Blue, 9-5, on Monday. The Millers will play Chatham Friday at 5:45 and Summit Saturday at 10 a.m. Both of those district games will be at Gumbert Field in Westfield.
