Big Heart Landscaping Shows its Heart with New Eyes for the Needy


Local landscaping service to donate portion of sales to local charity

Big Heart Landscaping, a lawn maintenance company servicing the Livingston and Short Hills communities, will be donating 10% of proceeds from the first 3 months of mowing service  of new customers’ lawns to New Eyes for the Needy, a 501 (c)3 nonprofit organization. New Eyes, founded in Short Hills in 1932, has helped over 8 million people throughout the United States and the world by providing clear vision through the gift of eyeglasses. 

“New Eyes is grateful to Big Heart Landscaping for their very generous offer,” said Jean Gajano, New Eyes Executive Director. “It’s a wonderful way for our neighbors and local residents to support New Eyes in partnership with Big Heart Landscaping.”  Ms Gajano added that 100% of the funds raised through the campaign will go to purchase  eyeglasses for children and adults in financial need living in the United States. .

“We are honored that we are able to donate to such an impactful organization,” said Todd Abrams, CEO of Big Heart Landscaping. “It’s our way to give back in a meaningful way and make a difference in the lives of people less fortunate.  And we hope our customers feel the same way!” he added.

Founded in 1932, New Eyes is a 501c3 nonprofit that helps people in need transform their lives through improved vision. They give children and adults the glasses they need to visualize their dreams, live their lives to the fullest and reach their potential. New Eyes provides new prescription eyeglasses for those in need living in the United States and collects and distributes used glasses to the poor in developing countries across the world
