Cpt. Gary Marschuetz said the threat came in as a phone call.

“It’s disappointing that there’s been an increase in anti-Semitic behavior,” he said.

This threat comes a month after the Jewish Community Center (JCC) MetroWest in West Orange was one of several JCCs nationwide to receive a bomb threat and weeks after anti-Semitic graffiti was found at South Mountain Reservation.

Livingston Mayor Shawn Klein said that police handled the situation in a capable fashion was happy to hear that all occupants were safely evacuated.

More information will be provided as it becomes available.
