WEST ORANGE, NJ - The Millburn High School ice hockey team has opened its season with a victory and a tie.

On the heels of a 2-1 victory over Livingston on opening night on Friday, the Millers skated to a 3-3 tie with Nutley on Monday night. Alex Stupp scored two goals for Millburn, which held a 3-1 lead early in the third period before Nutley rallied to tie the contest.

Charles Palmer also scored a goal for Millburn, which got assists from Ethan Ostroff, Ryan Rosenberg, Spencer Brown, Alex Johansson and Matt Riskin.

In the Millers' triumph over Livingston, goalie Gabe Nadell faced 39 shots and made 38 saves.
