SHORT HILLS, NJ - COMMUNITY CONGREGATIONAL CHURCH presents BENJAMIN EAKELEY in a reprise of his solo cabaret debut, “BROADWAY SWINGER,” on May 15, 2016, at 7:00 p.m. at the Short Hills Club in Short Hills, New Jersey. Benjamin Eakeley and his four-piece jazz band reinterpret classic songs from the 1960s in a lounge act that chronicles the American stage’s evolution from conservative to carefree. “BROADWAY SWINGER” is a groovy romp through the decade that gave us Oliver!, Cabaret, Hair and Promises, Promises. This swingin’ show explores life, love and everything in between.

“BROADWAY SWINGER” is directed by JV Mercanti (59E59’s Songbird, Broadway’s Romeo and Juliet) and music directed by James Olmstead (composer, NYMF’s Gary Goldfarb: Master Escapist). Mr. Eakeley is accompanied by a four-piece jazz ensemble featuring piano, bass, drums and sax.

The Short Hills Club is located at 9-37 Lake Shore Dr, Short Hills, NJ 07078. Food stations and a cash bar open at 6:00 p.m., followed by the performance at 7:00 p.m. This is event is open to the public. Tickets are available for $40 per person, with optional donations toward Community Congregational Church’s outreach programs accepted. Attendees are asked to reserve their tickets by May 6.
