A new Moon Rock Climber has been recently been installed in one of CCNS’ four fenced in outdoor play spaces just off Highland Avenue in Short Hills. This playground obstacle helps children develop climbing and balancing skills and promotes their gross motor development. CCNS also boasts an outdoor classroom, a fire engine structure, slides, playhouses and a large fenced in area for tricycles, cars and other ride-on vehicles.
The new playground equipment was generously donated by the Parent Association of Christ Church Nursery School (also known as PACCNS), which is made up of many involved volunteer parents and community members who work throughout the year to raise funds for the non-profit school. In addition to hosting many enrichment activities for the children of CCNS throughout the year, their annual cocktail party is always a popular event!
CCNS has served the surrounding community with quality and developmentally appropriate preschool options for the past 55 years and proudly supports a diverse population from many religious backgrounds.
The school’s summer fun camp program runs through the end of July. The school is offering many new scheduling options for this fall with just a handful of openings remaining. The Drop In Center at CCNS, which provides flexible, hourly childcare for ages 6 months - 6 years will extend their hours to 7:30am through 4:30pm. Interested families are invited to contact the school at 973-379-6549 and visit www.christchurchnurseryschool.org.
