SHORT HILLS, NJ - A construction van caught on fire after hitting a telephone pole going westbound on Hobart Ave. The vehicle crashed into the pole near the front right (passenger) corner of the van where its battery is housed. The direct impact to the battery created an immediate short to the electrical system causing it to catch on fire.
The van continued in motion until it eventually stopped near South Terrace.
