The Cora Hartshorn Arboretum and Short Hills Garden Club are hosting a talk on Wednesday, October 28, at 10:00 am, on "Gardening for the Birds and the Bees". This event features well-known speaker, Dr. Randi Eckel, owner of Toadshade Wildflower Farm, a mail order native plant nursery in Frenchtown, NJ. Dr. Eckel, who holds a doctorate in entomology, will be speaking about landscape opportunities with native plants to benefit pollinators. Following her talk, there will be tea and a light lunch served, and a rare and exciting chance to purchase hard-to-find native seeds and plants for attracting pollinators to our gardens. The event is open and free to the public and will be held in the Cora Hartshorn Arboretum Stone House, 324 Forest Drive South, Short Hills. Pre-registration is encouraged.
