“End of Life Issues – A Positive Approach” will be the topic presented by E. Betty Levin, 91-year-old township psychotherapist and peace educator at the Millburn Free Public Library on Thursday evening, May 18 at 7:00pm. Her talk has been inspired by several publications: “Being Mortal: Medicine and What Matters in the End,” by Atul Gawande; “When Breath Becomes Air” by Paul Kalanthi (on the N. Y. Times best-seller list); “Aging as a Spiritual Practice,” by Lewis Richmond; “Death, the Final Stage of Growth,” by Elisabeth Kuler-Ross; and “Gratitude,” by Oliver Sacks. She believes we elders can improve our lives significantly by addressing this topic openly. A frank discussion will be encouraged.

Registration is recommended.
