Photographers of all ages and abilities may submit photos highlighting the Essex County Parks System. The contest is free and the deadline to submit entries is Wednesday, September 12th.

“Our first class athletic facilities, beautiful vistas and peaceful open spaces provide a variety of opportunities for residents to get involved in recreation activities, learn about nature and escape our busy streets. We are inviting the public to grab their cameras and capture the beauty, diversity and uniqueness of our historic Parks System,” DiVincenzo said.

The Essex County Parks Photography Contest is sponsored by the Essex County Environmental Center. Anyone with a camera is encouraged to participate. Entries will be judged in two categories: Youth for ages 17 years and younger and Adult for ages 18 and older. Color and black and white photographs will be judged together.
