Farm & Fork Society Offers Trial Share to Non-Members


MILLBURN, NJ - The Farm & Fork Society, a CSA (community supported agriculture group) is offering a one week trial share for those who are interested in finding out what it is all about.  The trial share includes seasonal vegetables (10-12 different types) and fruit (2 types).  The price for the trial share is $40. 

Last year at this time members received lettuce, salad turnips, daikon, acorn squash, broccoli, cauliflower, celery root, white potatoes, choice of mustard greens, scallions, fennel, spinach, herbs, apples and cranberries.  The exact produce depends on growing season. Vegetables are organically grown and the fruit is eco-farmed and sustainably grown. 

Pick up date for the trial share is November 7, 2014 from 12pm to 3pm at the Downtown Millburn pick up site (Wells Fargo Parking lot behind Bhakti Barn Yoga at the corner of Essex and Spring Streets). Contracts and checks  MUST be received no later than November 3. All trial share members must agree to Farm & Fork Society rules and regulations excluding volunteering and membership fee.  Contract and rules can be found on the groups website at  Click on “Trial Share” tab.

The Farm & Fork Society is a community supported agriculture (CSA) group with  more than 100 members from Millburn-Short Hills, Maplewood, South Orange,    West Orange, Summit, Livingston and other surrounding neighborhoods. The group supports farm operations at Circle Brook Farm in Andover, NJ, Breezy Hill Orchard in Staatsburg, New York, Knoll Krest Farm in Clinton Corners, NY, River Bend Farm in Peapack, NJ and Green Mountain Maple Sugar Refining Company Inc. in Belvidere, VT.  By buying advance shares in partnering farmers, Farm & Fork Society members bring home produce and products throughout the growing and harvesting season, June through November.
