STANHOPE, NJ - The Millburn girls lacrosse team built a three-goal lead in the first half and held on for a 7-6 victory over Lenape Valley on Saturday.

Maria Garber scored three goals for the Millers (1-1), who opened a 5-2 lead by halftime before holding off a late rally by the home team. Sydney Opacewski scored two goals for Millburn and Brooke Hoffman and Alexis Ash each tallied one goal.

Millburn outshot Lenape Valley, 19-10. Jenna Levy made four saves for Millburn.
