MILLBURN, NJ - Glenwood Elementary 5th Graders participated in the school’s annual Pi Day celebration, honoring that most famous of infinite numbers, Pi, the ratio of a circle’s circumference to its diameter.

This year’s Pi Day, 3/14/15, is a once in a lifetime event.  It is the only time this century when the day, date and year syncs up with the first five digits of Pi.

Glenwood students celebrated with costumes.  Students dressed up as Pi-rates, Pi(e) chefs, Octo-Pi, and Albert Einstein, whose birthday is March 14.    They performed Pi skits and enjoyed many kinds of pie.
