MILLBURN, NJ - They may have looked a little crazy, but students at Hartshorn Elementary School were serious about raising money for the United Way - and they did it.

The Hartshorn Student Council sponsored a school-wide fundraiser during May to raise money for the United Way of Millburn-Short Hills. On "Crazy Clothes Day for the United Way” students who donated a dollar or more were able to show their creativity in their clothing. Hartshorn students and their crazy clothes raised nearly $700 for the United Way.

"The United Way of Millburn-Short Hills is extremely grateful for the generous donation riased by Hartshorn School families and faculty to support our local United Way," said Rose Twombley, executive director. "We also appreciate Ms. McCarthy, Ms. Maider, and the Hartshorn Student Council's efforts in organizning a fundraising event which will help provide health and human-care services in our community."
