“How to Know: When You See Something, Say Something” Learn How to Identify and Report Suspicious Behavior

In this discussion led by key leaders in New Jersey’s effort to protect and prepare the state, participants will learn: how to identify and report suspicious behavior; the Eight Signs of Terrorism; what to do in the event of an attack by an active shooter; how to remain alert and yet calm in challenging and dangerous situations.

Knowledge is power and both knowledge and power help to instill confidence to make decisions quickly. Many people have witnessed the horrors of terrorist acts throughout the world on TV and in the news, feeling powerless to do anything to know how to protect themselves should the unthinkable occur at home. Stopping terrorist acts from occurring in the first place involves national and international expertise but preparing oneself with every tool to confidently face a threat in our own community is a local affair.
