PASSAIC VALLEY, N.J. - TAPinto Passaic Valley welcomes Christa Limone as its new editor. She comes to us from North Jersey Media Group (parent company of 49 NJ newspapers including The Item of Millburn and Short Hills), where she has worked for the past 19 years with Passaic Valley Today and Wayne Today newspapers.

Christa was born and raised in Little Falls, having graduated from Passaic Valley High School in 1991. She earned English writing and music management degrees from William Paterson University. After graduating, she landed a job as a staff writer with Today Newspapers, which at the time published three zones, including Wayne and Passaic Valley. After serving as a school beat reporter for three years, she was promoted to editor, a position Christa has held for the last 16 years. While she has won many writing and layout awards over the years from the New Jersey Press Association, she is most proud of the difference that the newspaper’s work has made in its communities. In addition to delivering fair and balanced news coverage, Christa always strived to ensure that the countless non-profit groups that work throughout the area could always rely on the paper to promote their news and events.

A resident of Woodland Park since 2003, Christa and her husband Jerry have two children, Alex and Josie, and five cats. She enjoys volunteering with the Home & School Associations of her children's schools and local animal rescue groups.
