WEST ORANGE, NJ - Sophomore Matt Riskin and senior Spencer Brown each scored two goals and Millburn skated to a 6-3 ice hockey victory over Cranford to win its first Kelly Cup Tournament championship Saturday at Codey Arena.
Brown scored less than a minute into the contest to give Millburn a 1-0 lead. Jack Williams scored on the power play later in the first period to extend Millburn's lead to 2-0.
Riskin scored a goal in the second period, which ended with the Millers ahead, 4-3, and another in the final period, when Millburn added two unanswered goals. Sam Charlat also scored a goal for Millburn.
