Independence Day in Millburn Township: M/SH Fourth of July Committee Announces Events

MILLBURN, NJ – The Millburn/Short Hills Fourth of July Committee is a group township volunteers who prepare yearlong to provide the Township with July 4 ceremonies and festivities to honor America’s independence. President Michael Seifer and the committee members welcome residents to join in this Millburn/Short Hills tradition.

Each year, the Millburn Short Hills Fourth of July Committee presents the Patriot Award to a group or individuals who embody strong leadership skills and are active in community service. Award winners have their name, or group's name, added to a plaque on a boulder in Taylor Park. The award presentation is on Monday, July 4 at 9 a.m. in Taylor Park. Township and area residents, friends and their families are invited to the award presentation along with the flag-raising ceremony.

Following the flag raising ceremony is the ever-popular bike/trike/stroller parade at 9:30 a.m. and the girls’ All-Star softball game at 10 a.m.
