Jeffrey Romond, co-founder and managing partner for St. George Financial Partners, will conduct a presentation this month at the Springfield Public Library on how to teach your kids about money. The talk will give parents tools they can use to help their children understand the importance of saving.
The event will be Wednesday May 2 at 7 PM at the Springfield Public Library, 66 Mountain Ave. in Springfield, NJ. It is free and open to the public.
“Since many Americans are still not saving enough money compared to historic levels, it’s essential we teach our children at a young age why saving and budgeting is important,” Romond said. “Many parents find it difficult to talk to their children about money due to the complexities of the world we live in, so I want to give parents the tools to be able to help their children develop the proper mind set at this stage in their life.”
As part of his presentation, Romond will furnish families with special piggy banks that can be used to teach children the value of saving. The banks have separate compartments for save, spend, donate and invest, helping children understand these fundamental principals.
Pre-registration is required for the event. To register, please call the Springfield Public Library at 973-376-4930.
