MILLBURN, NJ – On Friday night, Nov. 11, Rock The House NJ and The Wyoming Club of Millburn, in partnership with Down The Block, will stage a benefit concert for Millburn victims of Hurricane Irene.

The Wyoming Club is a not for profit social and tennis club in Millburn. Down the Block is a not for profit corporation formed to help Millburn residents pay for basic goods and services they desperately need. Rock The House NJ is a not for profit local collective of musicians started in 2008 committed to keeping neighborhood music alive by showcasing all the talent we have right next door.  

Local musician and Millburn resident Deena Shoshkes approached Rock The House NJ founder and Millburn resident and Realtor Alex Silberman to stage a benefit concert for the many victims of Hurricane Irene. There is a large community of musicians and artists that reside in Millburn and the concert will feature local talent in a diverse, rich, and high quality evening of entertainment.

Doors will open at 7:30PM and the $20 admission will include beverages, snacks and an eclectic night of music that will cater to many tastes and styles. 

Opening the night will be Millburn resident and Harpist Odarka Stockert with her duet Slight Imperfection’s sweet lyrical ballads.  

Next will be Millburn resident Brian Halpin with his jazz group the Heptoctratics.  

Raising the volume a bit, Millburn Resident Deena Shoshkes will then follow with a combination of her groups the Cucumbers (with her husband Millburn's own Jon Fried) and The Laughing Boys with their infectious pop sound and irrepressible sound.  

The evening will be closed out by Millburn resident Alex Silberman and Rock The Houses of The Holy’s Led Zeppelin band for a high energy finale.
