MILLBURN, NJ - Join conductor, Michael Stratechuk, and the musicians of the Metropolitan Orchestra of NJ on Sunday afternoon, November 16th at 3:00pm in Millburn, when they present the opening concert celebrating their 43rd season.

The program, the first of the orchestra’s three concert series, will feature Beethoven: Egmont Overture, Op.84; Mendelssohn: Violin Concerto in E minor, Op.64 with accomplished violinist, Michael Avagliano;  and Beethoven: Symphony #4, Op. 60.

Avagliano has been praised by the Washington Post as a “versatile and sensitive artist” with a tone that is “both bold and graceful.”  He is also an accomplished violist as a member of the Madison String Quartet, and equally at home as a conductor, he is Music Director of the Central Jersey Symphony.  Currently, he serves as concertmaster of the Baroque Orchestra of North Jersey, and the Metropolitan Orchestra of NJ.
