MILLBURN, NJ - Strong pitching was the common denominator in a pair of Millburn varsity baseball victories this weekend.

The Millers followed a 6-1 victory over Lyndhurst on Friday with a 2-1 triumph Saturday morning against Rutgers Prep.

Kyle Mazer pitched a four-hitter with one walk and four strikeouts and Richie Schiekofer went 2-for-2 with two RBI against Lyndhurst. Ben Pampush had two hits and an RBI in three at-bats in that game.

Connor Lally pitched six innings and allowed three hits to earn the victory over Rutgers Prep. Lally struck out four and walked two. Mike Kologlu pitched a hitless seventh inning for the save. Kologlu was also an offensive contributor with RBI singles in the first and fifth innings.

Millburn (6-1) will visit Seton Hall Prep in a key matchup Monday at 4 p.m.
