WEST CALDWELL, NJ - Ryan Adelman collected five hits to lead an explosive Millburn lineup in a 16-0 victory over Caldwell on the road Monday afternoon.

Adelman singled in each of his five at-bats, scored three runs and drove in a run to fuel an 18-hit assault by the Millers (2-0), who scored eight times in the second inning to take a 9-0 lead. That made it a comfortable afternoon for pitcher Max Jacobs, who allowed just one hit and one walk in four innings pitched before Dean Schweinler pitched a perfect frame in the mercy-shortened five-inning game.

Kevin Czapelski launched a home run and drove in three runs and Jordan Brisgel went 2-for-3 with a double and an RBI for Millburn. Max Birner also had two hits.
