FLEMINGTON, NJ - The Millburn varsity baseball team may not have much experience on its side entering the 2015 season, but the Millers didn't show many opening day jitters on Thursday.

Millburn scored one run in the first and then five more runs in the second inning to open a big lead before holding on for a 7-5 victory over Immaculata on Thursday at the Diamond Nation Complex in Hunterdon County.

Max Jacobs, one of few returning seniors on the roster, went 3-for-4 with two RBI and also pitched 3 1/3 innings, allowing just one run, for Millburn. Ryan Adelman went 2-for-3 with two runs scored and Nick Minter ripped a two-run double for the Millers.

Kevin Czapelski also had a double and an RBI in the victory, as Millburn had to hold off a late rally by Immaculata, which notched a pair of runs in the seventh inning to make it close.
