MILLBURN, NJ - Consulting firm R-Pat Solutions, which has been retained to conduct the search for a new Superintendent of Schools, will be holding meetings with members of the community on Tuesday, March 10, according to the Millburn Board of Education.
The board is sponsoring these meetings to provide all stakeholders with information about the hiring of the next Chief School Administrator for Millburn Township Public Schools, as well as to give them an opportunity to provide input as to the leadership qualities desired in the school district’s next Superintendent. Three meetings will be held to provide different stakeholder groups the opportunity to meet directly with the consultants, hear from them about the search process, and answer questions.
Meeting dates and times:
3/10/2015, 3:30 p.m., MHS Auditorium
3/10/2015, 4:15 p.m. MHS Library
Parents/HS Students and Community Members
3/10/2015, 7:00 p.m., MHS Auditorium
The Board is also asking all community members to provide input via an online survey regarding the type of school leader that is needed in Millburn. The survey is open to the public from February 27 to March 20. Please take a few minutes to respond to the survey in order to assist the Board in clarifying the profile of the final candidate so they may arrive at the best possible decision in hiring a new Superintendent of Schools.
Board of Education President John Westfall-Kwong says, “The Board of Education truly values all public input, and it is a critical part of the superintendent search process. We encourage all community members to let their voices be heard prior to the Board of Ed making this critical decision.”
Emily Jaffe, Chair of the BOE Search Committee, adds, “Along with the survey which we encourage all community members to fill out, the March 10th forums will be another chance for our parents, students, teachers, staff, community members and local business and government partners to tell us what they are looking for in the next leader of Millburn Township schools.”
