MILLBURN, NJ - The Millburn varsity boys basketball team received a tough draw for the first round of the NJSIAA North Jersey, Section 2 Group 4 tournament.
The 15th-seeded Millers (10-15) will take on second-seeded Linden (17-6) on the road on Monday, March 2.
Senior guard Max Jacobs leads the Millers with 20.5 points per game. Jacobs, who will continue playing basketball when he attends the University of Chicago next year, has connected for more than 40 3-point baskets this season.
Senior forward Matt Abrams is averaging 7.0 ppg. and senior forward Jack Schwartz 6.6 ppg. for Millburn, which did not face Linden during the regular season.
Linden plays one of the toughest schedules in New Jersey and has been a perennial state power for more than a decade. Senior guard Otis Livingston averages 15.7 points per game and 6.8 assists for the Tigers and senior Joshua Carter averages 13.2 ppg. Senior Quinton Dixon (10 ppg.) is Linden's best 3-point shooter with 38 treys this season.
