MILLBURN, NJ - The Millburn boys soccer team will face one of its sternest tests of the season when it hosts Scotch Plains-Fanwood in the semifinal round of the NJSIAA Section 2, Group 4 tournament Monday at 2 p.m.

The second-seeded Millers (12-3-1) reached this point with a 1-0 victory over Columbia in the first round and a 2-1 triumph over Dickinson of Jersey City in the second round. Senior Benji Prashker leads Millburn with 12 goals a game.

But Millburn found a different source of offense in its quarterfinal victory, when junior Ben Kessler connected for both of his team's goals. Kessler doubled his season total with that performance. He and Spencer Schneider each have four goals on the season.

Millburn's only losses have come against Newark East Side, Montclair and Seton Hall Prep. East Side and Seton Hall Prep are two of the premier teams in New Jersey, a classification that also befits third-seeded Scotch Plains-Fanwood (19-3), which began the season ranked in the Top 5 in the nation. SP-F reached this game by defeating North Hunterdon in the first round and Ridge in the second round of the sectional tourney.
