MILLBURN, NJ - Top-seeded Millburn boys tennis team swept their first round matches against Belleville (17) and the quarterfinal matches against Glen Ridge (8) on Wednesday.  The Millers will continue their run in the Essex County Tournament on Saturday, April 22 at the Althea Gibson Tennis Center at Branch Brook Park in Newark. 

In the singles matches, Millburn's Alex Jacobs took both of his matches with a clean sheet. Mike Mirsky, went 6-0 against Belleville and 6-2, 6-0 against Glen Ridge.  Marco Mihajlovic played 6-0 against Belleville and Austin Peng rounded out the singles matches with a 7-5, 6-4 victory over Glen Ridge. 

On the doubles court, Millburn's dynamic duos of Jai Bansal and Jason Dresner took straight 6-0 sets against Bellville and 6-0, 6-1 defeating Glen Ridge. John Murray and David Sternlieb also won 6-0, 6-1 against their Glen Ridge foes. Jordan Haber and Jean Germa rounded out the winning streak with straight 6-0 sets victory. 

Millburn has an impressive 7-2 overall record with a 5-2 record for district matchups.
