MILLBURN, NJ - The Millburn-Short Hills Scholastic Boosters, now in its 69th year, has named the Millburn branch of Investors Bank as Presenter of the organization’s annual “Give-A-Boost” award, in recognition of the financial institution’s support.
Established 1947, The Boosters provides educational grants to qualifying local college students trying to close the shortfall in their funding package. More than 1,000 students have received awards from The Boosters totaling in excess of $1,000,000.
In addition to the many grants made annually, The Boosters created the “Give a Boost” Award in 2009, to be given to a Millburn High School senior with an excellent academic record who has shown diverse academic, community and personal interests and accomplishments. The award selection is made by The Boosters’ Board with the assistance of the MHS Guidance Department.
“The Boosters has enjoyed 35-year relationship with Investors Bank,” said Boosters’ President Jennifer Baer. “Now, the Millburn office has extended its support to our organization through the Investors Bank Foundation and by becoming the Presenter of our ‘Give-A-Boost’ Award.”
“As one longtime Millburn institution partnering with another one, Investors Bank is very pleased to continue our support of the invaluable assistance The Boosters has provided to deserving township students for nearly seven decades,” said Millburn branch manager and Assistant Vice President Kim Kaminski.
