On behalf of the Education Foundation of Millburn-Short Hills and Millburn Film Fest, we would like to thank the community for coming out on Friday, April 20th and Thursday April 26th to support Millburn’s student filmmakers at our 7th annual Millburn Film Fest! Attendees at the Red Carpet Premiere walked the Red Carpet, had their photos taken and enjoyed the screening of ten films submitted by Millburn students from Washington School, Millburn Middle School and Millburn High School. While all films were superb, we would like to congratulate Carli Platt, Millburn Middle School 7th grader for being awarded first place for her film, “In Plain Sight: A Hidden Child of the Holocaust.” As winner of the Film Fest, Carli will receive a scholarship to New York Film Academy one-week summer film camp.

Millburn Film Fest was also pleased to honor judge Laraine Brennan-Barach with the Krueger-Rhodes Award recognizing her dedication to art education in the community. We thank her and the rest of the individuals who donated their time to being a part of our judging panel, including: Donna Davis, Orna Greenberg, Kathi Hecht, Michael Klein, David Koh, Judith Kramer, Amy McGovern, Victoria Plummer, Andrew Permison, and Cathy Scorsese.
