Millburn H.S. Winter Band to Give Concert on Feb. 4


MILLBURN, NJ - The Millburn High School Winter Band Concert is scheduled for Wednesday, Feb. 4 at 7:30 p.m. in the Millburn High School auditorium.

The Concert Band, an ensemble of ninth-grade musicians, will perform works by composers including Elliot Del Borgo and William Latham. The Wind Ensemble, an advanced ensemble of accelerated level band students in grades 9-12, will perform the contest march Mercury by Jan Ven der Roost and will close the first half of the concert with the first movement of Gustav Holst's Suite No. 1 in Eb

There will be two Symphonic Bands comprised of student musicians in grades 10, 11, and 12. Symphonic Band Blue will open the second half of the program with works by Jack Stamp, Richard Saucedo, and Brian Balmages. Symphonic Band White will perform music by John Philip Sousa and Clifton Williams, and close the concert with the exciting commemorative work Towards a New Horizon by Steven Reineke.

The concert will be professionally recorded, and CD orders may be placed in the lobby at the concert. The MHS Music Boosters will be selling refreshments and accepting donations and memberships throughout the evening. For a complete calendar of district music department performances, go to

On June 19, 2018 Millburn Police Officer Crawn responded to Neiman Marcus on a theft report. Neiman Marcus personnel report a black male wearing a red hat, black winter coat, and tan backpack concealed 2 pairs of headphones valued at $498.00 in his backpack and left the store without making payment. The incident is under investigation by the Millburn Police Detective Bureau.
