MILLBURN, NJ — As part of the latest COVID-19 numbers released by Essex County yesterday, Millburn saw one of its cases reclassified and deducted from its total.
The count for Aug. 6 saw Millburn's total decrease from 165 cases to 164, due to one case being moved out of Millburn's tally. This is a regular occurrence, as health officials work to refine the picture surrounding COVID-19 infections in the state. In addition, Millburn remained at six total deaths.
Overall, Essex County recorded 19,715 cases and 1,863 deaths. The state of New Jersey had 183,327 cases and 13,989 deaths as of Aug. 5, with the latest figures for statewide cases and deaths were not available for Aug. 6.
