MILLBURN, NJ - The Music Department of Millburn High School will present its Night of Jazz concert on Thursday, April 30 at 7:30 p.m. in the high school auditorium.
This free concert is presented in conjunction with "Jazz Appreciation Month," sponsored by the National Association for Music Education and International Association for Jazz Education.
Featured ensembles are the high school's Stage Band and Lab Band, and the Middle School Jazz Band. Selections will include music by Gordon Goodwin, Stevie Wonder, Chick Corea, Quincy Jones, and Clifford Brown. The MHS Saxophone Quartet will perform in the lobby pre-concert.
Seniors Daniel Altschuler, Cole Bond, Louis Danowsky, Lauren Gomez, Mark Russell Gomez, Christopher Lassiter, Noah Lombos, Dev Patel and Griffin Schwab will be honored and recognized with their respective ensembles.
Night of Jazz XVI will be professionally recorded and orders will be accepted in the lobby. In addition, orders for the high school spring concert series, as well as Music Booster membership forms, will be available.
