MILLBURN, N.J. — Millburn High School students landed in the top 15 for highest average SAT scores in the state. The New Jersey Department of Education statistics list average Millburn's scores for math at 666 and reading at 660. The combined 1,326 also places Millburn High School as the ninth best college prep public high school in the state according to Niche.com.
In reading and writing the average score of 660 stands well above the statewide average of 551 by over 100 points. 98% of Millburn students score at or above the college readiness benchmark compared to 77% statewide.
In math, Millburn students again score over 100 points better than the state average 551, with a 666 average score. 91% of Millburn students meet or exceed the college readiness threshold compared to 58% across the state.
Middlesex County Academy for Science, Mathematics and Engineering Technologies came in with the highest average score at 1,502 (reading 742 and math 760).
