MILLBURN, NJ- A great performance was given by the Limelight Players in Millburn High School's production of Twelve Angry Jurors, which opened Friday, March 7.   The cast performed both Friday and Saturday of that weekend.

Twelve Angry Jurors, based on the original play Twelve Angry Men, follows a group of twelve strangers who are responsible for the verdict of a murder case. Total strangers to each other, the twelve people argue the legitimacy of the evidence in the case. Throughout the show, the twelve characters share knowledge about the evidence based on their own past experience, which gives the audience insight into the history of the jurors.

"I'm really proud of the cast this year and I'm so glad I got to be a part of it" said MHS junior, Lucy Grebin who played juror number six.

The entire cast seemed equally dedicated to his or her own role, and their hard work reflected their strong performances both opening and closing night. Specifically, Andrew Singer, a current senior (juror number eight), who had a fantastic performance according to many audience members, as did fellow senior Eleanor Konrad (juror number one) and Alec Gevarter (juror number ten).

The cast prepared for three months, rehearsing almost every day after school for multiple hours.

"The actors had a great progression to get to where they are," said Arvin Arjona, the show’s producer.  "I've done many shows before, but this one achieved the level of the best production I've seen."

The Millburn High School Limelight Players should be proud of the hard work put into every aspect of Twelve Angry Jurors as it proved to be a very successful weekend for both cast and crew.
