Tickets are going fast for the Millburn Middle School production of The Little Mermaid which will be held the last weekend in April. The evening performances start at 7 p.m. both on Friday, April 28th and on Saturday, April 29th. A Sunday matinee will be held at 1 p.m. on April 30th. Tickets cost $15 per person and are available online at In addition you are able to purchase tickets in the Guidance Office anytime before April 28th.

The Little Mermaid is a classic Disney story that is beloved by many audiences. It is the tale of Ariel, a mermaid who wishes to journey beyond the shore, as she explores life and love in the human world. This play is an original animated musical produced by Disney. The play includes many favorite childhood songs, including Under the Sea, and Kiss the Girl.

Mr. Mark Oppel will be directing this year’s musical and will be serving as choreographer and light and sound coordinator. MMS music teacher, Mr. David Huneryager, who has years of experience as an actor in musicals both on and off of Broadway, is the Musical Director. This musical is co-produced by Mrs. Susan Salvante and Mr. Nick Pisa. In addition, Mrs. Claudia Sohr and Mrs. Marina Reilly, Millburn Middle School art teachers, have designed the creative set. The set construction for this production has been completed by Mr. Cimino.

The production staff is eager to show off their new lighting equipment that was purchased recently thanks to the fundraising efforts of Mr. Tim Baker and the parents of the cast of last year's show and by a grant from the Middle School PTO. The Middle School theater program has also benefited from a donation by a generous theater-loving Millburn parent.
