On July 12, 2017, Millburn Police Officer Aliotta responded to the Apple store at The Mall at Short Hills on a theft report. Apple personnel report 31-year-old Nicole Hines out of Newark concealed a pair of Beats headphones valued at $299.95 in her bag and left the store without making payment. Ms. Hines was placed under arrest and charged with shoplifting and hindering after giving false information. Tiffany Dotson, age 38 out of Newark, was also placed under arrest during the investigation and charged with hindering. Ms. Hines was remanded to the Essex County Correctional Facility on an active criminal warrant, and Ms. Dotson was released with a summons.

On July 13, 2017, Millburn Police Officer Hay responded to the Tory Burch store at The Mall at Short Hills on a theft report. Tory Burch personnel report a black female wearing a black/white dress and a black female with long black hair described as heavyset each took a handbag valued at $1700.00 and ran from the store without making payment. The incident is under investigation by the Millburn Police Detective Bureau. 

On July 14, 2017, Millburn Police Officer Royce stopped a 2009 Toyota Camry on Crest Drive for an ordinance violation. The investigation led to the arrest of 23-year-old Satasia Marshman out of Rahway for possession of a controlled dangerous substance (marijuana), possession of drug paraphernalia, and an active Elizabeth criminal warrant. Ms. Marshman was issued a summons and released with a court date.

On July 14, 2017, Millburn Police Officer Shanahan responded to Nordstroms on a theft report. Nordstroms personnel report between April 5th and July 3rd, 2017 employee Charlate Wilson, age 46 out of East Orange, took cash and made fraudulent returns in the amount of $1190.48. Ms. Wilson was placed under arrest and charged with theft before being released on a summons.

On July 14, 2017, Millburn Police Officer Catinella responded to the Apple store at The Mall at Short Hills on a theft report. Apple personnel report 40-year-old Shawner Wilson out of Orange concealed 5 items valued at $507.85 in a bag and left the store without making payment. Ms. Wilson was also found to be in possession of a stolen bracelet from Neiman Marcus valued at $345.00. Ms. Wilson was placed under arrest and charged with shoplifting and receiving stolen property and released with a summons.

On July 17, 2017, Millburn Police Officer McMillan responded the the Sunglass Hut store at The Mall at Short Hills on a theft report. Sunglass Hut personnel report a black female wearing a pink floral dress took a pair of sunglasses valued at $290.00 and left the store without making payment.  The incident is under investigation by the Millburn Police Detective Bureau.
