MILLBURN, NJ - The following is the weekly crime blotter from the Millburn Police Department.

On June 4, 2019, Millburn Police Officer Zonn responded to the Salvatore Ferragamo store at The Mall at Short Hills on a theft report. Salvatore Ferragamo personnel report a black female wearing a green shirt and blue jeans took a wallet, card case, and minibag valued at $1800.00 and left the store without making payment. The incident is under investigation by the Millburn Police Detective Bureau. 

On June 5, 2019, Millburn Police Officer Goldfarb stopped a 2015 Freightliner M21 on Rt 24 West near the Chatham border for driving a commercial vehicle over 10,000 lbs in the left lane. The investigation led to the arrest of the 19-year-old passenger Dackota Read of Sussex for possession of a controlled dangerous substance (marijuana). Mr. Read was issued a summons and released.

Also on June 5, 2019, Millburn Police Officer Nacim responded to the apartments on Woodland Ave on a bicycle theft report. The resident reports between 4-5:30 pm unknown actor/s took his Schwinn bicycle valued at $500.00 from his front steps. The incident is under investigation by the Millburn Police Detective Bureau.

And also on June 5, 2019, Millburn Police Officer Wichelns responded to a burglary to motor vehicle report on Sagamore Rd. The victim reports between 9-11:45 pm unknown actor/s entered her 2017 Volvo V60 and ransacked the glove compartment and center console. Nothing appears to be missing.  The incident is under investigation by the Millburn Police Detective Bureau. 

On June 6, 2019, Millburn Police Officer Pinero responded to the Cranford Police Department on a warrant arrest. Oluwole Okuwa, age 41 of Linden, was placed under arrest on an outstanding criminal warrant and remanded to the Essex County Correctional Facility.

On June 7, 2019, Millburn Police Officer Smeraldo responded to a Twin Oak Rd residence on a motor vehicle theft report. The resident reports sometime overnight unknown actor/s took her 2017 Ford Explorer from the driveway. The incident is under investigation by the Millburn Police Detective Bureau.

Also on June 7, 2019, Millburn Police Officer O’Neill responded to Macy's on a theft report. Macy's personnel report 51-year-old Bernadette Griffin of Newark concealed a dress in a shopping bag and left the store without making payment. Ms. Griffin was stopped and found to have stolen merchandise from Bloomingdales and Nordstrom with a total value of $5788.00. Ms. Griffin was charged with shoplifting and receiving stolen property and remanded to the Essex County Correctional Facility.

On June 8, 2019, Millburn Police Officer Kostovski responded to the Sephora store at The Mall at Short Hills on a theft report. Sephora personnel report 20-year-old Dayana Sayritupac-Delgad of Union concealed 2 items valued at $78.00 and left the store without making payment. Ms. Sayritupac-Delgad was also found to be in possession of 4 items valued at $181.00 that were taken from Nordstrom without payment. Ms. Sayritupac-Delgad was placed under arrest and issued a summons before being released.

Also on June 8, 2019, Millburn Police Officer Marone responded to headquarters on a bicycle theft report. The resident reports unknown actor/s took his red and black Schwinn bicycle valued at $350.00 from the parking lot of 245 Main St. The incident is under investigation by the Millburn Police Detective Bureau.

And also on June 8, 2019, Millburn Police Officer Royce stopped a 2001 Toyota Tacoma on Rt 24 West near the mall for having front tinted windows. The investigation led to the arrest of 47 year old Alnesah Lane of Rahway for possession of a controlled dangerous substance (marijuana). Ms. Lane was issued a summons and released.

On June 9, 2019, Millburn Police Officer Lanni responded to the Sephora store at The Mall at Short Hills on a theft report. Sephora personnel report 79-year-old Sheila Leen of Mountain Lakes concealed 2 items valued at $51.00 in a bag and left the store without making payment. Ms. Leen was placed under arrest and issued a summons before being released on a summons.

On June 10, 2019, Millburn Police Officer Goldfarb responded to Neiman Marcus on a theft report. Neiman Marcus personnel report a black male in his 20’s wearing a white hooded sweatshirt, black shorts, and black shoes cut the security wire on 2 handbags valued at $4500.00 and left the store without making payment. The incident is under investigation by the Millburn Police Detective Bureau.

Also on June 10, 2019, Millburn Police Officer Larcom responded to the Hollister store at The Mall at Short Hills on a theft report. Hollister personnel report 38-year-old Jennifer Grimm of Blairstown concealed 10 items valued at $431.55 in a bag and left the store without making payment. Ms. Grimm was placed under arrest and charged with shoplifting before being remanded to the Essex County Correctional Facility.

And finally, also on June 10, 2019, Millburn Police Officer Laverty responded to headquarters on a theft report. A Church St resident reports the theft of a package delivered to his residence on June 4, 2019 containing a vacuum valued at $746.36. The incident is under investigation by the Millburn Police Detective Bureau.

These are accusations. All defendants are presumed innocent unless and until they enter a guilty plea or are found guilty in a court of law.
