On May 9, 2017, Millburn Police Officer Salemi responded to a Taylor Rd residence on an alarm. A ladder was found propped up against the rear of the residence and a second story window was opened. It is unknown at this time if anything was taken from the residence. The incident is under investigation by the Millburn Police Detective Bureau. 

On May 9, 2017, Millburn Police Officer Barbosa stopped a 2003 Acura TL on White Oak Ridge/Edwards for having a suspended registration. The investigation led to the arrest of the 30-year-old driver Samuel Morales out of Irvington on an outstanding Irvington traffic warrant. Mr. Morales was released with a new court date. 

On May 10, 2017, Millburn Police Officer Freem responded to the Burberry store at The Mall at Short Hills on a theft report. Burberry personnel report a black male wearing a black/white baseball cap, black jacket, black jeans, and black/white sneakers took five handbags valued at $7975.00 and ran out of the store without making payment. The incident is under investigation by the Millburn Police Detective Bureau.

On May 11, 2017, Millburn Police Officer Shanahan responded to the Cartier store at The Mall at Short Hills on a credit card fraud report. Cartier personnel report 2 Asian males purchased $12,370.00 worth of jewelry using a stolen credit card. Jie Sun, age 28 out of Flushing, NY, was located and apprehended after a foot pursuit. Mr. Sun was charged with theft by deception, forgery, and possession of a counterfeit government document. Mr. Sun was released with a summons. The incident is under investigation by the Millburn Police Detective Bureau. 

On May 11, 2017, Millburn Police Officer Hunt responded to Kings on a theft report. A patron reports putting her wallet down while paying for her groceries and accidentally leaving the wallet. The patron returned and discovered the wallet and contents missing. The incident is under investigation by the Millburn Police Detective Bureau. 

On May 11, 2017, Millburn Detective Derosa responded to Neiman Marcus on a theft report that occurred on May 10, 2017. Neiman Marcus personnel report a thin black female wearing a long sleeved black/gray shirt, blue pants, and carrying a black tote bag concealed two shirts valued at $530.00 and left the store without making payment. The incident is under investigation by the Millburn Police Detective Bureau. 

On May 12, 2017, Millburn Police Officer Recinos responded to the Sephora store at The Mall at Short Hills on a theft report. Sephora personnel report 21-year-old Safa Kamal out of Livingston concealed five articles valued at $120.00 and attempted to leave the store without making payment. Ms. Kamal was placed under arrest and issued a summons before being released. 

On May 13, 2017, Millburn Police Officer McMillan responded to the Sephora store at The Mall at Short Hills on a theft report. Sephora personnel report 19-year-old Tara Vollmar out of Denville and 18-year-old Kimberly Mann out of Rockaway were stopped after they were observed concealing merchandise. Both actors were found to have additional stolen property out of Victoria Secrets, Lush, Forever 21, Anthropologie, Lululemon, and Free People. Ms. Vollmar and Mann were both placed under arrest and charged with shoplifting and receiving stolen property and released on a summons.

On May 13, 2017, Millburn Police Officer Shanahan responded to 206 Millburn Ave on a report of solicitors. The investigation led to the arrest of 26-year-old Brijae Burris out of Elizabeth for outstanding traffic warrants out of Newark and Bayonne. Mr. Burris was issued a summons for soliciting without a permit and released with a new court date. 

On May 14, 2017, Millburn Police Officer Recinos responded to the Burberry store at The Mall at Short Hills on a theft report. Burberry personnel reported 27-year-old Kapri Boykins and 27-year-old Lateef Wise both out of Newark concealed three scarves valued at $775.00 and left the store without making payment. Both subjects were located and placed under arrest. Ms. Boykins was released with a summons. Mr. Wise was remanded to the Essex County Correctional Facility. 

On May 14, 2017, Millburn Police Officer Shanahan responded to the Vilebrequin store at The Mall at Short Hills on a theft report. A Vilebrequin employee reports the theft of her purse from a back store room between 1:30-3:00 pm. The incident is under investigation by the Millburn Police Detective Bureau. 

On May 14, 2017, Millburn Police Officer Wichelns responded to Bloomingdales on a theft report. Bloomingdale's personnel report 20-year-old Sonia Sykes and 20-year-old Desmone Stevens both out of Jersey City concealed multiple articles of clothing in a bag and left the store without making payment. Both subjects were stopped and found to have $1192.50 worth of merchandise from Bloomingdales, True Religion, Nordstroms, and Ferragamo. Ms. Sykes and Stevens were both issued a summons and released. 

On May 15, 2017, Millburn Police Officer Barbosa responded to the Gucci store at The Mall at Short Hills on a theft report. Gucci personnel report a black male wearing a black baseball cap, black jacket, black shirt, and jeans concealed a handbag valued at $2290.00 and left the store without making payment. The incident is under investigation by the Millburn Police Detective Bureau. 

On May 15, 2017, Millburn Police Officer Barbosa responded to the Henri Bendel store at The Mall at Short Hills on two theft reports. Henri Bendel personnel report on May 10 and 13, 2017 a black male wearing a white handkerchief on his head and a dark denim jacket, concealed five bags valued at $1730.00 into a shopping bag and left the store without making payment. The incidents are under investigation by the Millburn Police Detective Bureau. 

On May 16, 2017, Millburn Police Officer Royce observed a 2016 Honda parked in a lot of Old Short Hills Park at 12:22 am in violation of the township ordinance. The investigation led to the arrest of 20-year-old Tyler Padmore out of South Orange for possession of a controlled dangerous substance (marijuana), and possession of drug paraphernalia. Mr. Padmore was issued a summons and released.
