MILLBURN, NJ - The following is the Millburn Police Department Blotter from Jan. 9 through Jan. 13, 2019:

On January 9, 2020 Millburn Police Officer Aliotta stopped a 2005 Chrysler 300 on Rt 124/Broad for inoperable lights. The investigation led to the arrest of 26 year old Yasmine Cornejo of Allentown for possession of a controlled dangerous substance (marijuana). Ms. Cornejo was issued a summons and released.

On January 9, 2020 Millburn Police Officer Kelly responded to the Apple store at The Mall at Short Hills on a theft report. Apple personnel report 3 black males between 20-25 years of age, wearing black jackets combined took 3 pairs of Beats, 2 demo watch faces, and 2 Apple pencils valued at $1925.85 and left the store without making payment. The incident is under investigation by the Millburn Police Detective Bureau.

On January 9, 2020 Millburn Police Officer Kelly responded to the Saint Laurent store at The Mall at Short Hills on a theft report. Saint Laurent personnel report a black female wearing a green hooded sweatshirt and blue jeans purchased a clutch valued at $1652.69 using a stolen credit card. A black female wearing a purple sweatshirt and camouflage pants attempted to purchase a handbag valued at $3081.46 using a stolen credit card, however it was denied. Both incidents are under investigation by the Millburn Police Detective Bureau.

On January 10, 2020 Millburn Police Officer Larcom responded to the area of the bus stop at the mall on a report of a male who shoplifted from Macys. Gerard Wilson, age 32 of Sewell, threw 2 bags containing $382.50 worth of stolen merchandise into some bushes just prior to being stopped. Mr. Wilson was placed under arrest and charged with shoplifting before being released on a summons.

On January 10, 2020 Millburn Police Officers Royce and Aliotta responded to the South Orange Police Department on a warrant arrest. Sharrod Morris, age 19 of Newark, was placed under arrest on an outstanding criminal warrant and remanded to the Essex County Correctional Facility.

On January 10, 2020 Millburn Police Officers Royce and Aliotta responded to headquarters on a warrant arrest. The Fairfield Police Department dropped off 28 year old Dordly Chery of East Orange on an outstanding traffic warrant. Mr. Chery was remanded to the Essex County Correctional Facility.

On January 11, 2020 Millburn Police Lieutenant Ronceray stopped a 2019 Nissan Rogue after it failed to stop at a stop sign at Mountainview/Locust. The investigation led to the arrest of 43 year old Philip McClain of Somerset for possession with intent to distribute (cocaine), and possession of a controlled dangerous substance (marijuana). Mr. McClain was issued a summons and released.

On January 12, 2020 Millburn Police Officer Laverty responded to 238 Main St on a theft of tires. A witness states 2 black males retrieved used tires from the rear of the business and fled in a white van. The incident is under investigation by the Millburn Police Detective Bureau.

On January 13, 2020 Millburn Police Officer Hunt responded to the Sunglass Hut store at The Mall at Short Hills on a theft report. Sunglass Hut personnel report a Hispanic female with blond hair in a ponytail wearing a denim jacket, camouflage leggings, and black sneakers concealed a pair of sunglasses valued at $460.00 in her jacket and left the store without making payment. The incident is under investigation by the Millburn Police Detective Bureau.

These are accusations. All defendants are presumed innocent unless and until they enter a guilty plea or are found guilty in a court of law.
