Millburn Police Detectives Arrest Man on Seven Charges of Burglaries to Motor Vehicles

On March 7, 2017, Millburn Police responded to reports of burglaries to motor vehicles on Rahway Rd and Greenwood Dr. Residents report sometime overnight unknown actor/s entered their 2009 Kia and 2002 Ford Focus rummaging through the center console and glove compartments. Loose change and a necklace were taken. Both incidents are under investigation by the Millburn Police Detective Bureau.

On March 8, 2017, Millburn Police Officer Catinella responded to Kings on a theft report that occurred on March 4, 2017. Kings personnel report a white male, 6' with grey receding hair, wearing a black puffy jacket and blue jeans walked out of the store with a carriage full of groceries valued at $355.40.The male was confronted outside and left the area while the employee brought the merchandise back into the store. The incident is under investigation by the Millburn Police Detective Bureau.

 On March 8, 2017, Millburn Police Detectives arrested 37year old George Brown of Orange and charged him with 7 counts of burglaries to motor vehicles. Mr. Brown was remanded to the Essex County Correctional Facility.

On March 8, 2017, Millburn Police Officer Pinero responded to Neiman Marcus on a theft report. Neiman Marcus personnel report 31year old Princess Aubrey Porter out of Hillside concealed 3 shirts valued at $550.00 in a shopping bag and left the store without making payment. Ms. Porter was placed under arrest and charged with shoplifting before being released on a summons.

 On March 9, 2017, Millburn Police Officer O'Neill responded to the True Religion store at The Mall at Short Hills on a forgery report.True Religion personnel report 19-year-old Luis Valdez out of Staten Island passed a counterfeit $100.00 bill.The investigation led to the arrest of Mr. Valdez, 20-year-old Xavier Rodriquez out of Staten Island for possession of a controlled dangerous substance (cocaine), and a 17-year-old female out of Staten Island for forgery. Mr.Valdez and Rodriquez were issued a summons and released. The juvenile was released to a family member.

 On March 10, 2017, Millburn Police Officer Wichelns and Hunt responded to the Union Police Department on a warrant arrest. Anthony Peterson, age 41 out of Millburn, was placed under arrest on an outstanding traffic warrant and remanded to the Essex County Correctional Facility.

 On March 10, 2017, Millburn Police Officer Zonn responded to the Gucci store at The Mall at Short Hills on a theft report. Gucci personnel report 46-year-old Errol Larose and 25-year-old Cindy Latorrey, both out of Brooklyn, concealed 5 belts valued at $2340.00 and left the store without making payment. Both
individuals were placed under arrest and charged with shoplifting. Ms. Latorrey was also charged with possession of a controlled dangerous substance (marijuana). Both individuals were released with a summons.

 On March 11, 2017, Millburn Police Officer Catinella responded to Turf Grass on Bleeker St on a burglary report. The owner reports between March 1-9,  2017 unknown actor/s entered the property and broke the windows, damaged interior shelves, and took a 24' extension ladder. The incident is under investigation by the Millburn Police Detective Bureau.

 On March 11, 2017, Millburn Police Officer Recinos responded to the Orologio store at The Mall at Short Hills on a theft report. Orologio personnel report a Hispanic male wearing a grey/red jacket and red shirt took a Breitling watch valued at $10,760.00 and ran out of the store. The incident is under investigation by the Millburn Police Detective Bureau.

 On March 12, 2017, Millburn Police Lieutenant Ronceray stopped a 2004 Honda Accord on Rt 24 West near the mall for speeding. The investigation led to the arrest of the 29-year-old driver Curtis Rhoden out of Newark for possession of a controlled dangerous substance (marijuana) and possession of drug paraphernalia. Mr. Rhoden was released with a summons.

 On March 13, 2017, Millburn Police Officer Barbosa responded to Macy's on a theft report. Macy's personnel report 21year old Jihaad Haskins out of Hillside concealed 7 articles of clothing valued at $222.02 in his backpack and left the store without making payment. Mr. Haskins was placed under arrest and charged with shoplifting before being released with a summons.

These are accusations. All defendants are presumed innocent  unless and until they enter a guilty plea or are found guilty in a court of law.
