Millburn Police Investigating Package Theft from Residence Front Porch

On May 22, 2018 Millburn Police Officer Pinero responded to Macys on a theft report. Macys personnel report 19 year old Andy Concepcion of Hazleton, PA was stopped after picking up a $179.00 dress purchased with a stolen credit card. Mr. Concepcion was placed under arrest and issued a summons for receiving stolen property before being released.

On May 22, 2018 Millburn Police Officer Pinero responded to the Sunglass Hut store at The Mall at Short Hills on a theft report. Sunglass Hut personnel report a black male with dreadlocks wearing a black shirt took 3 Prada frames valued at $1120.00 and left the store without making payment. The incident is under investigation by the Millburn Police Detective Bureau.

On May 23, 2018 Millburn Police Officer Hunt responded to Arden Place on a theft report. A landscaper reports the theft of 2 five gallon containers of gas valued at $100.00 from the roadway while he was mowing a lawn. The incident is under investigation by the Millburn Police Detective Bureau.

On May 23, 2018 Millburn Police Officer Zonn responded to Shoprite on Main St on a theft report. Shoprite personnel report 49 year old Darrin Brookins of Orange concealed 6 items valued at $50.48 and left the store without making payment. Mr. Brookins was placed under arrest and charged with shoplifting before being released on a summons.

On May 24, 2018 Millburn Police Officer Tavares stopped a 2004 Jeep Liberty at Millburn/Main when the driver was observed without a seatbelt. The investigation led to the arrest of 19 year old Jose Frias of Belleville for possession of a controlled dangerous substance (marijuana) and possession of drug paraphernalia. Mr. Frias was issued a summons and released.

On May 24, 2018 Millburn Police Officer Nacim responded to the Saint Laurent store at The Mall at Short Hills on a theft report. Saint Laurent personnel report the theft of 3 handbags valued at $5990.00. The incident is under investigation by the Millburn Police Detective Bureau.

On May 25, 2018 Millburn Police Officer Manuyag responded to Macys on a theft report. Macys personnel report 56 year old Reinaldo Morales of Irvington concealed 29 items in a bag valued at $1442.34 and left the store without making payment. Mr. Morales was placed under arrest and charged with shoplifting before being remanded to the Essex County Correctional Facility.

On May 26, 2018 Millburn Police Officer Czupak stopped a 2006 Toyota Highlander on Millburn/Blaine for an inoperable tail light. The investigation led to the arrest of 19 year old Kyle Marcus of Maplewood on an outstanding traffic warrant out of Maplewood. Mr. Marcus was issued a summons and released with a new court date.

On May 27, 2018 Millburn Police Officer Barbosa responded to the Salvatore Ferragamo store at The Mall at Short Hills on a theft report. Salvatore Ferragamo personnel report 40 year old Cristian Garcia-Carretero of Union took a handbag valued at $1750.00 and left the store without making payment. Mr. Garcia-Carretero was placed under arrest and found to have stolen property from Henri Bendel, Tumi, and Burberry valued at $1975.00 and was in possession of a controlled dangerous substance (heroin). Mr. Garcia-Carretero was issued a summons and released.

On May 27, 2018 Millburn Police Officer Lanni responded to the East Orange Golf Course on a burglary report that occurred overnight. The snack stand was broken into and the register and cash taken totaling $1600.00.   The incident is under investigation by the Millburn Police Detective Bureau.

On May 28, 2018 Millburn Police Officers Czupak and Lanni responded to the Newark Police Department on a warrant arrest. Kwane Browne, age 44 of Newark, was placed under arrest on outstanding traffic warrants and remanded to the Essex County Correctional Facility.

On May 28, 2018 Millburn Police Officer Czupak responded to a Locust Ave residence on a theft report. The resident reports the theft of a hard drive delivered by Amazon valued at $106.00 from his front steps sometime during the day. The incident is under investigation by the Millburn Police Detective Bureau.

On May 28, 2018 at 11:03 pm Millburn Police Lieutenant Ronceray observed a 2008 Honda Accord parked on Brookside Drive. The investigation led to the arrest of 20 year old Mathew Guastoni of West Orange for possession of a controlled dangerous substance (marijuana) and possession of drug paraphernalia. Mr. Guastoni was issued a summons for the ordinance violation and possession of a controlled dangerous substance and released.
