Millburn Police Investigating Theft at Four Stores at the Short Hills Mall

On February 14, 2017 Millburn Police Officer Recinos responded to Nordstroms on a forgery report that occurred on February 13, 2017. Nordstrom personnel report a black male wearing a green sweatshirt accompanied by a white female wearing a black jacket used 32 counterfeit $100.00 bills to make a purchase. The incident is under investigation by the Millburn Police Detective Bureau.

On February 17, 2017 Millburn Police Officer Barbosa stopped a 2017 Ford Escape at Millburn/Spring for failing to stop at a stop sign. The investigation led to the arrest of the 25 year old driver Healy Shem-Tov out of Springfield on an outstanding traffic warrant out of Jefferson Township. Ms. Shem-Tov posted bail and was released with a new court date.

On February 18, 2017 Millburn Police Officer Barbosa responded to Bloomingdales on a theft report. Bloomingdales personnel report 56 year old Marjorie Myers out of Short Hills concealed 5 articles valued at $418.00 and left the store without making payment. Mrs. Myers was charged with shoplifting and released with a summons.

On February 18, 2017 Millburn Police Officer Tavares responded to the Gucci store at The Mall at Short Hills on a theft report. Gucci personnel report a black female approximately 5’2” wearing a white floral jacket and white jean overalls concealed 2 belts valued at $950.00 and left the store without making payment. The incident is under investigation by the Millburn Police Detective Bureau.

On February 19, 2017 Millburn Police Officer Aliotta responded to the Sunglass Hut store at The Mall at Short Hills on a theft report. Sunglass Hut personnel report a Hispanic male approximately 6’0” tall wearing a black puffy jacket, blue jeans, black boots, and carrying a blue/grey bag concealed 5 pairs of sunglasses valued at $1050.00 into his jacket and left the store without making payment. The incident is under investigation by the Millburn Police Detective Bureau.

On February 20, 2017 Millburn Police Sergeant Delrusso stopped a 2014 Jeep Wrangler on Essex St for going the wrong way on a one way. The investigation led to the arrest of the 18 year old driver Gabriel Silveira out of Union for possession of a controlled dangerous substance (marijuana). Mr. Silveira was issued a summons and released.
