Millburn Police Investigating Theft of Twenty iPhones from a Burglarized Vehicle

On September 20, 2017 Millburn Police Officer Hay responded to headquarters on a burglary to vehicle report. The victim reports parking his 2015 Buick Encore at Old Short Hills Park on September 17th between 12:30-1:30 pm with his wallet inside. The victim states he discovered three of his credit cards were missing and one had been used at the Apple store at The Mall at Short Hills. The incident is under investigation by the Millburn Police Detective Bureau.

On September 20, 2017 Millburn Police Officer Crawn responded to Nordstroms on a theft report. Nordstroms personnel report 18 year old employee Wendy Lopez out of West Orange made 39 fraudulent refunds for cash totaling $836.91. Ms. Lopez was placed under arrest and found to be in possession of a controlled dangerous substance (marijuana). Ms. Lopez was charged with theft and possession of a controlled dangerous substance and released on a summons.

 On September 21, 2017 Millburn Police Officer Aliotta stopped a 2006 Infiniti Q35 on JFK Pkwy/Rt 124 for an expired temporary registration. The investigation led to the arrest of the 29 year old driver Hamid Williams out of Paterson on 2 outstanding criminal Paterson warrants. Mr. Williams was issued a summons and released with a new court date.

On September 22, 2017 Millburn Police Officer Barbosa responded to The Mall at Short Hills on a dispute. Tatanisha Hood, age 45 out of Trenton, became involved in a dispute about a delivery he was making. Mr. Hood was found to have an active traffic warrant out of Trenton and was placed under arrest. Mr. Hood was issued a summons for parking in a fire lane and released with a new court date. 

On September 22, 2017 Millburn Police Officer Barbosa responded to the mall on a burglary to a vehicle report. The victim reports between 3:20-5:09 pm unknown actor/s broke a window of his 2018 Honda Odyssey and took a bag containing 20 Iphones valued at $16,530.00. The incident is under investigation by the Millburn Police Detective Bureau.

On September 24, 2017 Millburn Police Officer McMillan responded to the Louis Vuitton store at The Mall at Short Hills on a theft report. Louis Vuitton personnel report a black female with blond hair and a tan dress concealed 3 scarves valued at $1770.00 in a bag and left the store without making payment. The incident is under investigation by the Millburn Police Detective Bureau.

On July 11, 2018 Millburn Police Officer Shanahan stopped a 2014 Honda Accord on Millburn/Vauxhall for speeding. The investigation led to the arrest of 22 year old Lyes Yakoubi of Jersey City on an outstanding traffic warrant out of West Windsor. Mr. Yakoubi was issued a summons and released with a new court date.
