FLEMINGTON, NJ - Thirteen Millburn youths participated in the  Track and Field Junior Olympic New Jersey State Championships in Flemington, NJ on November 9. 

On a mild day, the kids all had fantastic races on a with many setting personal records.  The race results are below.  

Several of the kids are set to participate in the USA Track and Field Junior Olympic Regional Championships in Latrobe, Pennsylvania on November 19.

-Vidya Bindal – 16:10/8:40 per mile pace (41st place)

9-10 boys – 3k distance

-Brody Emrich – 13:24/7:11 per mile pace (23rd place)

-Alexander Grossman – 14:44/7:54 per mile pace (44th place)

-Benjamin Grossman – 15:39/8:24 per mile pace (52nd place)

11-12 girls – 3k distance

-Arabella Quane – 14:16/7:39 per mile pace (39th place)

11-12 boys – 3k distance

-Jack Meyerowitz – 12:19/6:36 per mile pace (31st place)

-William Stiska – 13:09/7:03 per mile pace (48th place)

13-14 boys – 4k distance

-Evan Feldman – 14:50/5:58 per mile pace (12th place)

-Thomas Kade – 17:36/7:05 per mile pace (45th place)

-Joshua Hasse – 20:23/8:12 per mile pace (56th place)

-Miles Mu – 20:31/8:15 per mile pace (57th place)

On July 11, 2018 Millburn Police Officer Shanahan stopped a 2014 Honda Accord on Millburn/Vauxhall for speeding. The investigation led to the arrest of 22 year old Lyes Yakoubi of Jersey City on an outstanding traffic warrant out of West Windsor. Mr. Yakoubi was issued a summons and released with a new court date.
