The Millburn Recreation Department held its annual Funtastic Swim Day on Saturday July 22, 2017. Over 100 people participated in festivities that included tube races, shark races, and gator races at the Millburn Township Pool.  

During the splash contests, there were over 50 jumpers ranging from ages 5 through adults. Arianna O'Connor had perfect scores on both of her jumps crowning her the 5-7 year old champion. Eleanor Wiggers splashed her way to the 8-10 year old championship with a perfect score during the tie-breaker round. Yaxi Huang would be the top scorer for the 11-13 year olds and Craig Just won the adult splash contest with the two highest scores of the day (100 and 109).

On July 11, 2018 Millburn Police Officer Shanahan stopped a 2014 Honda Accord on Millburn/Vauxhall for speeding. The investigation led to the arrest of 22 year old Lyes Yakoubi of Jersey City on an outstanding traffic warrant out of West Windsor. Mr. Yakoubi was issued a summons and released with a new court date.
