FISHING DERBY - (May) open to Youth age 15 and under, residents only, to be held on Saturday, May 6th, 9:00am -12:00pm at Taylor Park. Register at the event between 8:00am - 8:45am. Fishing derby is free to Township residents. Children must bring their own fishing pole/bait. Prizes are awarded in different categories for catches.

FOUR MILE RACE and YOUTH RACES - (June) the 4 Mile Race will take place on Sunday, June 4th, starting at 9:00am . Elementary school (3rd-5th grade), middle (6th-8th grade), high school (9th-12th grade) through adults categories for 4 Mile Race. Ages 4 – 11 can participate in a short Youth Race. 4 Mile Race starts and finishes at Gero Park (corner of Parsonage Hill & White Oak Ridge Roads). 4 Mile Race course is through scenic Short Hills. 4 Miler Pre-race registration fee is $16.00. On-line www.twp.millburn.nj.us/Recreation and mail-in Registration Deadline is through June 1ST. Day of Race (Sunday, June 4th) on-site registration is $20.00. No registration required for youth races.

SWIM TEAM REGISTRATION - Swim Team is open to Millburn Pool members ages 6 through 18. This is a competitive recreation team. All swimmers, prior to the season, must be able to swim one lap (25 yds). Practices start in late June and the season last until late July. NEW YORK METS BASEBALL GAME BUS TRIP - (June) The Millburn Recreation Dept. is sponsoring a baseball game bus trip to see the NY Mets at Citi Field on Friday, June 30th at 7:10pm. The Mets will be playing the Philadelphia Phillies. Bus leaves from Gero Park at 3:30pm and the trip is open to all ages; Millburn Township Residents only may purchase tickets. Children age 10 & under must be accompanied by an adult. Chaperones will be provided for children 11 years old or older by Millburn Recreation Dept. Staff. Cost of the trip is $60.00, which includes game ticket, coach bus transportation and Mets tee-shirt. Ticket sale begins April 15th. Tickets can be reserved on-line on CommunityPass, by going to http://register.communitypass.net/millburn or at Recreation Department, Town Hall. Please see the recreation department website at http://www.twp.millburn.nj.us/Recreation for further information or call (973) 564-7097. Tickets are limited.

TENNIS MEMBERSHIPS - (March – November) Tennis Courts are located at Gero Park, Short Hills (lighted) on White Oak Ridge Road in Short Hills, Taylor Park off Main Street in Millburn, Slayton Field off Glen Avenue, Millburn. Courts are open for play March (weather permitting) through November. Membership badges for play at courts are required beginning April 1st . Applications and On-line Registration information for membership are available on the Recreation Department website at http://www.twp.millburn.nj.us/Recreation Tennis membership badge holders may make court reservations one day in advance for play beginning Memorial Day through Labor Day; by calling (973) 564-7097 between 8:30am and 12:00noon (reserve on Friday for Saturday, Sunday, and Monday). Courts may be reserved for weekday or weekend play.
GUYS & DOLLS and YOUTH – GOLF TOURNAMENT – SUMMER (June)  an Intergenerational Tournament is scheduled for Monday, July 10th (rain date July 17th) at Millburn Par-3 Golf Course, Gero Park, Short Hills.  Tournament is open to all Millburn Township residents ages 10 – 17 and members of the Millburn Old Guard Senior Group and Millburn Ladies Golf League.   Lowest score tournament, hole in one & closest to the pin contests.  Tournament registration is free. On-line registration at www.twp.millburn.nj.us/Recreation through June 30th.
